Problem: At present, there are three major problems plaguing the pig industry: low pork prices, high feed costs, and African swine fever interference. Pig farms have ‘more pig diseases, more medication, difficult to raise pigs’ and ‘closed management of pig farms’.

Starter 88:It is made of a variety of probiotics, postbiotics and digestive enzymes, and is specially used for fermented water (liquid fermented material).

Benefits of probiotic preparation of fermented water for liquid feeding*

1.At the end of fermentation, the pH of the fermentation solution is below 4.0, the active probiotics are 1-2 billion CFU/mL, and it has a strong sour flavour.1 The fermented water has a sour flavour, which is highly enticing to the pigs, and the organic acids and fermentation products contained in the fermented water can alleviate the weaning stress and high temperature stress in piglets, increase the feed intake of pigs, increase their weight gain, and improve the feed utilisation rate, and have a positive impact on the fattening pigs. Fattening pigs also have a positive effect, see Table 1.

2.The pH of fermented water is below 4.0, which matches with the acidic environment of pig's intestinal tract, and it can increase the resistance of pigs, and it has a certain inhibitory effect on African swine fever.


3. Probiotics and their metabolites in the fermented water can enhance the intestinal health of pigs, improve the resistance of pigs to diseases, and reduce the dosage of chemical drugs (e.g., in Guangxi farms, the cost of chemical drugs has been reduced from 30 yuan to less than 10 yuan). In addition, probiotic bacteria are discharged with the faeces, which can effectively inhibit harmful bacteria and viruses in the environment, and at the same time, it can deodorise the pig farms, etc. 


4. Adopting liquid fermented water feeding, not only does the growth rate of pigs increase, but also the indexes of slaughtering rate, backfat thickness, eye muscle area, meat colour, marbling, lean meat rate, cooked meat rate and so on, all have obvious changes, see Table 2.
